AFCONA - 1101

AFCONA - 1101 is a modified acrylic polymer in a butyl acetate and methoxy propyl acetate solvent. This product has low concentrate viscosity, provides pigment stability, is widely compatible, and can cross-link in polyurethane systems and baking paints. AFCONA - 1101 functions as a universal dispersing resin for the preparation of universal pigment concentrates, finding application in primers, coatings, paints, and decorative paints.

Dispersing additive Modified Polyacrylate polymer AFCONA – 1101 is compatible with most of the resin systems like polyurethane, alkyd melamine, acrylic melamine, polyester melamine (butylated and HMMM grade), acid curing etc. The known resin systems that not complete compatible are epoxy systems as well as air-drying alkyd systems where white spirit, LAWS and aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents used in large amounts. The pigment concentrates prepared through AFCONA – 1101 have below special properties: 1)Very low concentrate viscosity 2)Help to provide better pigment stability. 3)Free flowing and suitable for automatic tinting system 4)Wide compatibility 5)Contain primary OH groups, which can cross-link in systems like PU and baking paints. Thus, it will not act like a hard resin or plasticizer. As long as it has good compatibility with the resin systems, AFCONA – 1101 can reduces mill base viscosity.
