AFCONA - 2022

A strong defoamer but easy to incorporate. Silicone containing version of AFCONA – 2020 which defoaming property is very strong. AFCONA-2022 prevents the formation of foam and blisters during the manufacturing and application of solvent-based and solvent-free coatings. AFCONA-2022 is a particularly suitable defoamer that works during production and application, especially in curtain coating processes. When foam causes a problem during packaging, AFCONA – 2022 can be added slowly, while stirring to speed up the bubble breaking process.

Defoamers Silicone containing defoaming polymer Comparing to AFCONA – 2020, AFCONA – 2022 has much better deaeration property due to the present of silicone. However AFCONA – 2020 has better anti-foam performance. AFCONA – 2022 has better in-can transparency than AFCONA 2020.AFCONA-2022 can be used in:1) two-pack systems based on polyurethane and epoxy resins2) baking paints based on alkyd resins, acrylic and saturated polyesters3) air drying industrial coatings based on long and medium-oil alkyd resinsAddition and dosage0.1- 1.0% on total formulation. In general under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.20 – 0.50% based on total formulation.IncorporationAs a strong defoaming agent, AFCONA-2022 can be incorporated prior to processing. If it added subsequently, good dispersion must be ensured.StorageAFCONA – 2022 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture.
