AFCONA - 2023

A moderate defoamer with minimum side effects. AFCONA-2023 prevents the formation of foam and blisters during the manufacturing and application of solvent-based coatings. AFCONA-2023 has a moderate defoaming property and therefore considered as a very safe defoamer to use. It does not show obvious side effects like other defoamers. AFCONA – 2023 is the silicone containing version of AFCONA – 2021. Both defoamers have very well balance of defoaming performance and causing in-can haziness.

Defoamers Silicone containing defoaming polymer AFCONA – 2023 is suitable from low polar system to high polar system, where else, AFCONA – 2018 is more suitable for medium polar to high polar system. AFCONA-2023 can be used in:1) two-pack polyurethane system for refinish, wood and general industrial2) NC and acid curing system for wood3) industrial coatings like baking enamels, acrylic thermosetting and oil free polyester systems4) Air drying systems like long and medium oil alkydAddition and dosage0.1- 0.5% on total formulation. In general under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.20 – 0.40% based on total formulation.IncorporationAFCONA-2023 can be incorporated prior to processing. If added subsequently, good dispersion must be ensured.StorageAFCONA – 2023 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date is indicated on the container.
