AFCONA - 2028

AFCONA-2028 prevents the formation of foam and blisters during the manufacturing and application of solvent-based wood finishes. AFCONA-2028 is particularly suitable as a defoamer for curtain coatings as well as during production. When foam causes a problem during packaging, AFCONA-2028 can be added slowly, while stirring to speed up the bubble breaking process. In this case, AFCONA-2028 is more user-friendly and easier to handle than AFCONA-2022, because it is less sensitive to crater formation and other well-known defoamer side effects. 

Defoamers Silicone containing defoaming polymer  AFCONA-2028 can be used in: 1) polyurethane coatings for wood, plastic and car refinish 2) unsaturated polyester systems 3) acid curing coatings for wood 4) NC lacquers for wood coatings and general industrialAddition and dosage0.1- 1.0% on total formulation. In general under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.20 – 0.40% based on total formulation.IncorporationAFCONA-2028 can be incorporated prior to processing. If added subsequently, good dispersion must be ensured.StorageAFCONA – 2028 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture.
