AFCONA - 2502

Defoamer for water-based applications, which undergo during preparation high shear forces, like: pigment pastes and other high filled or high solid systems. AFCONA-2502 is a defoamer for water-based applications, based on a modified polysiloxane with fine silica. It is suitable for normal waterbased applications, like coatings and inks as well as for pigment concentrate preparations.

Defoamers Modified polysiloxane with fine silica AFCONA-2502 has a very high resistance to shear forces and temperature. Therefore, it is suitable for pigment concentrates and other high filled and high solid systems. It is also useful for the synthesis of emulsion polymerization AFCONA-2502 is recommended for: 1) High and low PVC emulsion paints based on pure or modified acrylics 2) Water-based pigment concentrates 3) Printing inks4) PU dispersionsAddition and dosage0.1– 0.5% on total formulation. In general under normal conditions 0.2 – 0.3 is sufficient. For pigment concentrates 0.3 – 0.5 is needed IncorporationAFCONA-2502 should be added in the mill based. If added in the let down, make sure to incorporate under high shear force. StorageAFCONA-2502 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 3 years from the date of manufacture.
