Water based defoamer and anti-foam with
levelling property for high shear application
such as pigment concentrate preparation. AFCONA- 2503 is an organically modified
polysiloxane which designed to give good
defoamer, anti-foam and levelling performances
in all water based coating. It has very low
sensitivity to formation of craters to the coating.
Defoamers Organically modified Polysiloxane AFCONA – 2503 have below performance and properties: 1) It has very good performance in high shear application. Under high shear environment such as long period of grinding, it still can maintain it good defoaming and anti-foam performance. Thus very suitable to use as defoamer in pigment concentration preparation and high speed flexo printing process. 2) It also effective as defoamer in normally coating ranging from PU dispersion to normal acrylic based decorative paint. 3) Beside good defoaming and anti-foam properties, it also has good leveling performance. Most defoaming available in the market will affect the leveling property of a coating and leveling agent will gives more foam formation to the coating. Thus AFCONA 2503 serve as perfect product as it works as defoamer, also gives leveling property. 4) Due to the levelling property, it also will not give crater formation to the coating, another perfect performance that most coating formulators dreaming of to have.Addition and dosage0.05 – 1.00% on total formulation. In general under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.05 – 0.25% based on total formulation. In pigment paste preparation, normal dosage will be ranging from 0.5 to 1.0%IncorporationAFCONA- 2503 can be added at any stage during the production process.StorageAFCONA-2503 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture.
