AFCONA – 2530
Effective defoamer for water-based coating systems with a good relation between defoaming and compatibility. An effective defoamer and deaerator. Prevents the formation of foam and blisters during manufacturing and application. It has a very good compatibility compared with good defoaming and deaeration properties and therefore it is very suitable for clear coat applications.
Defoamers Solution of a silicone modified polymer Very universal in use. Recommended for most of the water-based systems, especially clear applications. For use in grinding/mill bases AFCONA-2502 or AFCONA-2503 are better options. Can then be used as a post-additive. Addition and dosage 0.2 – 1.0% on total formulation. In general under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.5% based on total formulation. Incorporation Can be incorporated prior to processing. If added subsequently, good dispersion must be ensured. Storage Should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture.
