AFCONA - 2583

Water based defoamer and anti-foam for high shear application such as pigment concentrate preparation. Also suitable for UPE, Epoxy and PVC composite systems. AFCONA - 2583 is none silicone defoamer with synthetic silica which designed to give good defoamer and anti-foam performances in all water based coating. 

Defoamers VOC-free none silicone defoamer AFCONA - 2583 has below performance and properties: 1) It has very good performance in high shear application. Under high shear environment such as long period of grinding, it still can maintain it good defoaming and anti-foam performance. Thus very suitable to use as defoamer in pigment concentration preparation and high speed flexo printing process. 2) It also effective as defoamer in normally coating ranging from PU dispersion to normal acrylic based decorative paint.3) Very suitable for water based refinish based coating as the polymer in AFCONA – 2583 does not migrate and will not cause crater to the clearcoat.4) Due to it hydrophobic character and not containing any solvents or water, it is also suitable for UPE, Epoxy and PVC composite systems. Addition and dosage0.05 – 1.00% on total formulation. In general under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.05 – 0.25% based on total formulation. In pigment paste preparation, normal dosage will be ranging from 0.5 to 1.0%IncorporationAFCONA - 2583 can be added at any stage during the production process. StorageAFCONA - 2583 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture.
