AFCONA - 2725
AFCONA – 2725 is tailor made as defoamer and air-releaser for solvent-free epoxy, UPE, PMMA and polyurethane systems. AFCONA – 2725 has been developed to produce rapid de-aeration of solvent-free polyurethane and epoxy compounds used in flooring application. This product also shows very effective defoaming in UPE system.
Defoamers Defoamer containing silicone-free polymers. AFCONA – 2725 also act as very good defoamer in PMMA system for floor coating and pigment paste preparation. AFCONA - 2725 also acts as a levelling agent, giving a smooth surface to the coating. AFCONA-2725 has low odour and is suitable to substitute AFCONA – 2722. In epoxy coating, combination with AFCONA – 2038 will increase the defoaming performance tremendously.Addition and dosage0.5 – 1.5% on total formulation. In general under normal conditions, the dosage is 1% based on total formulation. For serious case combination of AFCONA – 2725 and AFCONA – 2038 at 1% each will solve most of the foam problem.IncorporationTo avoid foam- and bubble-formation AFCONA-2725 should be mixed at the beginning of the production/application. If added at the end of the formulation, a good dispersion must be ensured.StorageAFCONA-2725 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture.
