AFCONA - 2727

AFCONA – 2727 is a very effective defoamer and air-releaser for filled and unfilled epoxy, UPE and polyurethane systems. AFCONA – 2727 is a silicone-based product developed to produce rapid de-aeration of polyurethane and epoxy compounds used in flooring or general industrial application. This is the most effective defoamer for epoxy selflevelling system. 

Defoamers Silicone based defoamer  AFCONA - 2727 also acts as a very good levelling agent, giving a smooth surface to the coating. It functions differently from AFCONA 2722 and AFCONA – 2726 as the silicone is an alkyl-polyether modification where it gives very good de-aeration AFCONA-2727 is recommended for filled and unfilled polyurethane and epoxy compounds used in flooring application as well as UPE system.Addition and dosage 0.5 – 1.5% on total formulation. In general under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.5% based on total formulation. Incorporation To avoid foam- and bubble-formation AFCONA-2727 should be mixed at the beginning of the production/application into the system. If added at the end of the formulation, a good dispersion must be ensured. StorageAFCONA-2727 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture.
