Emulsifier Fatty acid modified polyester AFCONA – 6220 has below special properties and recommended in below systems:1) Act as an economic dispersant for the preparation of universal pigment concentrates for water and solvent- based decorative coatings. For more effectiveness a combination with AFCONA – 4560 will give better results2) Improves the colour acceptance of commercial colourants in air-drying alkyds3) AFCONA-6220 is an activator for Bentonites as well as for associated and acrylic thickeners4) In overall performances, AFCONA – 6225 is better than AFCONA – 6220 in almost all aspectsNote: AFCONA – 6220 will become slightly hazy at temperatures below 5° C. This will not influence the quality.Addition and dosageCalculation method for the required amount of active ingredient on pigment:Universal colourants:5 - 10% for inorganic pigments10 - 20% for organic pigmentsBase-paints 0.5 - 1.5% on total based paintsBentonites 15 - 25% on active /thickeners substanceIncorporationAFCONA-6220 can be incorporated in the millbase or used as post additiveStorageAFCONA-6220 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date is indicated on the container. organic pigments in water and solvents. In
addition, it makes the polar ingredients of
