AFCONA - 8202

AFCONA-8202 is an anti-foam and de-aeration additive for use in unsaturated polyesters, epoxies, PVC compounds and other composites materials. 

Defoamers silicone free polymers AFCONA-8202 supports the quick de-aeration of thermosetting resin systems, so that foam and blister-free self-levelling compounds and laminates can be processed.In can and coil coating, choosing a defoamer is very critical. A wrong choice will result in inconsistence occur of crater in the line. AFCONA - 8202 is the suitable defoamer for this application as it gives very little side effects like others defoamers do.AFCONA-8202 can be used in pigmented or non-pigmented resin systems such as: 1) unsaturated polyesters (SMC/BMC gelcoats and synthetic mortars) 2) two-pack epoxies 3) two-pack polyurethane 4) Polyester/melamine stoving systems 5) PVC-compoundsIn high pigmented and high viscosity systems, incorporation of a suitable dispersing agent will reduce the viscosity. This will help to improve de-aeration.
