Tenite Propionate 360E4861312

Tenite™ cellulosic plastics are noted for their excellent balance of properties - toughness, hardness, strength, surface gloss, clarity, and a warm feel. The mechanical properties of Tenite™ cellulosic plastics differ with plasticizer levels. Lower plasticizer content yields a harder surface, higher heat resistance, greater rigidity, higher tensile strength, and better dimensional stability. Higher plasticizer content increases impact strength.

Cellulose polymer Tenite™ cellulosic plastics are available in natural, clear, selected ambers or smoke transparents and black translucent. Color concentrates are available in let-down ratios from 10:1 to 40:1. Tenite™ Cellulosic Acetate Propionate 360-12 has a plasticizer level of 12%. It is resistant to high temperatures.ApplicationsConsumer electronicsConsumer housewares-NFCEyewearFiltrationFurnitureMedical devicesPens/stationaryProfilesToolsKey attributesAbility to be solvent polished, cut, cemented, drilled, and decoratedColorable—color concentrates availableExcellent clarityGood chemical resistanceHigh surface glossOutstanding processability—easy to mold, extrude, or fabricateSuperior primary and secondary fabricationTough and durableWarm feelResourcesConsumer Markets - Material Selector GuideLaser welding Eastman medical copolyestersSelector chart - Tenite cellulosics - Formulas 360, 371, 375, 376, 377TENITE Cellulose Acetate Propionate - Chemical ResistanceTENITE Cellulosic Plastics - From Trees to Plastic Eastman Chemical Eastman Chemical Polymers and Resins Electrical and Electronics,Paper and stationary,Pharma and medical
