The full programme and event information has been published for the 32nd International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) Congress in London next month.

The 32nd Congress will kick off on Monday 19 September with the opening ceremony, educational workshops and IFSCC Council meeting at the iconic Central Hall opposite Westminster Abbey.

The opening ceremony will acknowledge the 2020 Congress and 2021 Conference Award Winners, catching up on IFSCC celebration of the best cosmetic science.  The main Congress venue is the Park Plaza Hotel, Westminster for the three days from 20-22 September.

An informal networking event will take place at Madame Tussauds, Marylebone on the evening of Tuesday 20 September while the finale of the event will be the gala dinner and awards ceremony at Battersea Evolution, Battersea Park on Thursday 22 September.

This year’s awards will include two for Best Podium, in basic and applied science, as well as Best Poster and a prize for a young scientist.

Keynote speakers at this year’s Congress include University of Manchester’s Professor Rachel Watson, who will give a presentation on the ability of topical anti-ageing cosmetics to remodel skin.

Other keynote addresses will be made by Dr Tomonobu Ezure of Shiseido on a ‘new horizon in anti-ageing skin care’; Baroness Susan Greenfield on skin and the brain; and University of Oxford Professor Charles Spence on neuroscience-inspired multisensory cosmetics design.

“Like those before it, the IFSCC 2022 Congress is a prestigious international showcase of the cutting-edge science that drives cosmetic innovation,” said Dr Tony Gough, IFSCC President Elect.

“There will be 11 eminent keynote speakers, 73 international and 5 UK podium presentations in simultaneous sessions, a plethora of posters, an exhibition of the latest supplier offerings, pre-congress workshops and a full social programme to facilitate networking and ensure you feel the London vibe,” he added.

In addition, IFSCC 2022 is the first hybrid Congress for those unable to attend in person. Every lecture is being live streamed so can be viewed in real time in the online Attendee Hub, while the On Demand feature gives convenient access to lectures and to hundreds of scientific posters.

All registered delegates get 90 days of access to every lecture and poster through Attendee Hub.
