Silwet™ DA-33 Performance Additive

Silwet™ DA-33 Performance Additive is a high-performance, FDA-compliant liquid formulated specifically to enhance defoamer systems in the pulp and paper industry. Developed by Momentive Performance Materials Inc., this innovative additive significantly improves the dispersion and efficiency of brown stock pulp defoamers used in manufacturing paper and paperboard for indirect food contact. By reducing entrained air and associated foam, Silwet™ DA-33 promotes enhanced water drainage through pulp mats, lowering processing costs while optimizing overall production. Its unique cloud point defoaming characteristic allows it to actively function above its cloud point, ensuring consistent performance in aqueous systems. Made up of 100% active, uncapped polyether-modified silicone copolymers (CAS #68937-55-3), the additive is also dioxin-free and Halal certified. Designed for easy incorporation into existing formulations, Silwet™ DA-33 is compatible with a variety of organic defoamer components, making it a reliable and versatile solution in enhancing pulp drainage and foam control in both Kraft pulping and paper-processing applications.
